Cha Cha was investigating, alongside Guruko, the evolution of mankind over thousands of years by reading various books about history from all over planet Earth.
What struck him was how, in just about two centuries—starting with the Industrial Revolution—the world had shifted to one where sobriety was quickly forgotten, where goods are now counted in the billions, and where many things can be done instantly.
He also reflected on the climate change brought about by this radical transformation. As the link between human society and global warming is now understood, it became clear to him that if a solution is to be found, and if future generations are to live a “decent” life, returning to sobriety seems inevitable.
Guruko, who had learned much about the current state of the Earth, was shocked to see how humans continue to behave—oblivious to the doom they themselves have created.
They looked at each other and said: “If only they knew about the 7 Shapes…”
