Trinity is running for her life as agents are after her and they end up jumping from roof to roof of buildings. At one point, they do a jump so big that the one of the cops chasing her says “It’s impossible” in an iconic dramatic way.
When we see, for the first time in our life, the execution of a skill that we have no clue about, performed by someone who has mastered it, we are often amazed by the performance, and sometimes we think it’s impossible.
Having even only one experience can change our perception
We once went to the bouldering gym with my in-laws. It was only once but a few months later my father in law watched the bouldering competition during the Paris Olympics games. He said he was able to understand the difficulty of the task that the athletes were trying to accomplish because he had that experience of climbing, even if only one time.
Having an experience, even only once, can shift our perception. We may sometimes lack curiosity or have our own beliefs or thoughts about a fact, an individual, a product, a country, etc… By being more curious and putting aside our own ideas, we can experience something new and see things from a different angle.
Let’s stay curious!
Let’s try to keep our hunger for life by discovering new things and trying new experiences. What we felt was impossible in the past can become a piece of cake for us in the future.
