Does this title sound cliché? I guess so. But is it true? Absolutely. Of course, the word love carries as many meanings as there are human beings on our shared planet.
For most of us, the first love we experience is that of our mother, who carries us for months and cares for us by caring for herself—because a healthy newborn requires a healthy mother. Motherhood is finding yourself through the love for one’s child.
The love we share with siblings and friends is yet another kind of love—one that reveals different parts of ourselves, often through imitation.
Then comes the love for a partner, which compels us to see the world through another pair of eyes.
Finding yourself is a daunting, almost dantesque task. But with love, it becomes possible to finally perceive what lies within you—the love for yourself.
