Goku is certainly one of the strongest characters ever created in a manga. He is strong, can fly and can even teleport to other universes instantaneously. But on a few difficult encounters, he still asks for help to create a powerful move called the Genkidama, that gets stronger when more people lend some of their vital strength.
One for all and all for one
Some tasks get easier, more productive, or even simply possible only when combining the strengths of a few people or more. When there is a necessity to lend the strength of others, we shouldn’t see it as a weakness. Human beings are social creatures that grow by creating bonds with others individuals and through relationships. We want to try to cherish those, by taking time with the persons dear to us. Just like plants need water and attention to flourish, we shouldn’t expect our relations with others to get better without putting effort and time into it. It can be our relations with our family, our friends, our colleagues, or even total strangers.
How we communicate with people makes a huge difference. There are situations when someone else’s actions or words can upset us. We should always try placing ourselves in the other’s position or point of view. It is at times difficult to keep calm : we should remember that not saying a word is often better than replying impulsively. We want to treat and speak to other people as we would like to be treated or spoken to. And as always, the only thing we have control on is our own behavior!
A common goal : our Planet
In order to achieve unity for mankind, we need something greater than ourselves—something that makes us realize that the conflicts rooted in our differences are ultimately meaningless. Some threats are easier to detect than others, and we often focus only on what is immediately visible, without deeper reflection.
While we may experience some effects of climate change—longer, hotter summers, colder winters, more frequent disasters like typhoons and cyclones—many people don’t connect these events to global warming. Why? Because for most, it isn’t immediately obvious.
To truly understand the process, we need awareness and education. But who is eager to learn when we are already so preoccupied with our own lives? This kind of thinking, prevalent in many individuals, has contributed to the state of the world today. It’s time to address the issue at its core and change our mindset.
Personal advice
We don’t have to try too hard if we feel the other individual can be harmful to us or our family. Unfortunately, those individuals may only had bad experiences, which with time and no correction have led to them acting this way. While they will eventually need help, try to stay calm around them and not interact with them unless you’re sure of what you are doing.
For real change to happen, everyone needs to be involved. This is the most challenging part of our mission. Why everyone? Because humanity can never be fully content if some are left behind due to privilege or status. And since this is a global issue, it requires a global solution. Ironically, solving it starts on an individual level—by striving to become the best versions of ourselves.
