In just a few hundred years, the shape of the Earth has drastically changed—mostly due to the use of fossil fuels that created the “world of abundance” we live in today.
While this allowed some countries to thrive on this new “black gold,” when we realize that this resource is, first, not infinite, and second, is harming the climate in ways never seen before, it becomes clear that change is necessary—especially if we care about the future of the next generations.
And this is where the issue lies. It becomes difficult to balance our own lives with a future we won’t see with our own eyes…
Why should I sacrifice myself for the good of the future, when others don’t?
Why should I make an effort when others won’t?
The answer is: because there is good inside each one of us.
