Climate change caused by humans is a fact. In just a few hundred years, the use—and abuse—of fossil fuels to develop “human civilization” has shaped a world whose dire consequences we can only begin to fathom.
If you live in a wealthy and politically stable country—one that has almost certainly reached this state through environmental harm, whether actively or passively—you may go your entire life without realizing what is truly happening. That might be through ignorance, denial, or even by choice.
Unless you live in places already suffering directly from the consequences of climate change, you have the choice to ignore them.
The choice.
Of course, individually, we are not solely responsible for all of this. Climate change was already in motion when we were born.
The choice is whether to face the truth—no matter how sad it may be.
But is that really the kind of world we want to leave to future generations?
