Eklea liked to hold on to this simple question.
“In the end, what truly defines who you are?”
It took time to reflect on such a question, and she knew that most Espers didn’t naturally ask themselves anything like this.
When you become too attached to the possessions you own, they begin to define you. If they were to disappear, you would feel lost, and your lifestyle would spiral into wanting more and more just to fill that space.
But by remembering that time is limited and that you cannot do everything at once, you realize that all the time and effort spent chasing material wealth is time and effort not invested in yourself.
Eklea was someone who wished to become the best version of herself, not through material things, but through her own behavior and attitude.
“Possessions don’t define me. I define myself through my daily behavior.”
