A Simple Speck Among the Stars
The Espers throughout the world had the unfortunate tendency to think of themselves as the center of the world. And with good reason, each one was truly the main character of their own story, so how could they be blamed for putting their choices or their own well-being and comfort first? But sometimes, or even…

Content with the Essentials
Swept up in the whirlwind of everyday life, it is easy to lose sight of what is so often right before our eyes. Magic had made the lives of many Espers far more comfortable than those of even the most powerful kings of times past. But did that mean that all Espers were now happier…

If Innocence Were Queen
Observing how the civilization of the Espers behaved before the Chaos War, one might believe that they were all afflicted by a destructive madness, or were desperately trying to get the better of others at their expense. In reality, most Espers were simply doing their best every day just to live. And among them, some…

Giving Your Trust
The Seven Shapes continued to study the Shadow of the civilization of the Espers that had been perceived when the StarDust was revealed before everyone’s eyes. On an individual level, now that every Esper had the ability to perceive their own Shadow, it had been understood that this Shadow was very fearful and wary. Its…

Global Understanding Impossible Without Compromise
This was the conclusion that now seemed obvious to everyone, following the global disaster of the Chaos War. No understanding on a planetary scale would be possible without compromise. And the world before the war was far from being a world where making compromises came naturally. On the contrary, by exacerbating individualism, it had become…

Learning to Listen to Your Shadow
The post-Chaos War was a new world where the Espers around the world now had to learn to listen to their Shadow. It was an easier task for those who had already made a habit of listening to themselves and taking time for themselves, without the futile distractions that allow them to kill time. For…

Feeling Alone in the World
Seeing the world from a different perspective than others can be alienating, and can then make you feel as though you are alone in the world. Cha Cha, our little platypus companion, had long been very detached from what was considered normal. As with everyone, what he had experienced during his childhood and the environment…

Listening to Others and Listening to Yourself
The Espers were, all things considered, rather curious beings. Their history, spanning several tens of thousands of years, had led them, not without difficulties, to control their planet, to the point of being capable of impacting its global ecosystem. The discovery and use of magic had accelerated the evolution of their civilization, but they also…

A Sincere Willingness to Share
The Chaos War had clearly shown that the cycle of wars would never end as long as people’s mindsets did not evolve. And the discovery of magic, which had made the civilization of the Espers more prosperous, had in no way changed the way they saw things. On the contrary, society was becoming increasingly individualistic…

The Wind Artifact
The legendary artifact of the Wind element, discovered at the end of the War of Chaos, was called the Wind Mirror. Just like the other artifacts, anyone could retrieve it, and the new Esperia even encouraged all Espers to retrieve the artifacts of the five elements, on an initiatory journey that would allow them to…
