The importance of time is often realized only when we finally perceive the fleeting nature of life. Shala, the Shape of Time, knew that better than anyone. Having lived through countless ages, she had watched entire civilizations rise and fall, and the endless cycle of life and death had brought her both joy and sorrow.
She also understood that because there is life, there is beauty in every living thing. At times, it may be difficult to grasp this—our emotions or state of mind may cloud our vision, when we are angry or afraid.
Contemplating the flow of time, like the clouds gently drifting across the sky, can help us slow down. On Earth, everything moves so quickly now, and Shala thought of it as a “Time Crisis”: a moment when what truly matters, what should be our priority, is buried beneath an avalanche of unconsciousness.
“If only Earth knew about the Seven Shapes…” she whispered, a hint of sadness in her voice.
