Step into today’s story and let the magic unfold…

The presence of Atma, the Shape of Balance, had brought something precious and unprecedented to Esperia: a simpler understanding of the importance of balance.
Why was this so important for the Espers who were trying to build a civilization in harmony with their planet?
Because every action has consequences.
There are, of course, the consequences we hope for and intentionally seek when we take action.
But there are also unwanted, unknown, or invisible effects at first glance, for ourselves, for others, or for the environment.
For the Espers, using magic seemed like a perfectly harmless action. It had brought them benefits that had once been unimaginable.
Blinded by the seemingly endless potential of magic, their civilization had never considered its other effects…
Indeed, using magic also consumed a small part of the Aether, the life source of the planet.
This precious Aether had taken millions of years to form and had made life possible on Esperia: the plants, the trees, the forests, the animals, on land as well as in rivers and oceans.
The Espers, too.
The world after the War of Chaos had revealed one truth: until then, the consequences of the Espers’ actions had remained limited for their planet. But the use of magic had disrupted the planet’s fragile and delicate balance, devastating it and leaving its mark forever.
Plants, trees, forests, and animals, on land as well as in rivers and oceans, had perished.
The Espers, too.
The time had finally come for everyone to think about the consequences of their actions.

Many Exceptional People
Ancient myths tell of an era when a king, surrounded by exceptional people, succeeded in bringing peace to his kingdom. “What made them so different from the others?” asked a young Esper, eager to learn more about the story that intrigued him. Eklea, the Shape of Consciousness, began to smile and replied: “That is an…

Turning Around a Desperate Situation
Faya, the Shape of Willpower, understood better than anyone that sometimes it is easier to be in a desperate situation in order to turn it around. Does it sound a bit strange to you? “Usually, when everything is fine, we have many options to choose from. And the more choices we have, the more difficult…

Eating and Drinking to Excess
When they wrote the Health section of One Daily Tale, the Seven Shapes were soon confronted with an issue that would return to them again and again: the inertia of habits and the strength of cultural myths. Kenko, the Shape of Health, was aware that for most of the Espers, an abundance of food was…

Stubborn and Narrow-Minded
At the Great Library of Esperia, the Awareness Department was one of the most animated. The Element of Lightning was one of the most difficult to master because of its volatility. Today’s lesson in Eklea’s class was devoted to how easily we can become stubborn and narrow-minded. “Just like lightning magic, we quickly become stuck in…

Positive discussions
There was an expression used in Esperia for situations in which opinions were enthusiastically exchanged and discussion was lively: “like the wind blowing.”But it is no surprise to us that the Element of Wind is involved, is it? Empathy can lead to debates that bear fruit, because the participants can tolerate opinions different from their…

Useless Debates
The Seven Shapes didn’t get where they are by pleasing the people or by relying on their magic. For the Five Elements, the Shapes were known as the strongest at that time, yet it was not through force that they chose to lead by example. On the contrary, their effort to write the principles of…

Excessive Luxury
Now that Atma, the Shape of Balance, was known by all the Espers, it became much easier for Esperia to grow in harmony with nature and the Five Elements.Though it was difficult to accept for many—especially those who had long enjoyed a life of excessive luxury because of their wealth. For some, the revelation of…

Anachronism
Once again, Guruko and Cha Cha, her platypus friend, were discussing the human society they had discovered through a magical mirror. “Do you believe that on Earth, peace and harmony could prevail if they knew about One Daily Tale?” Guruko asked softly. “It saddens me to see how some innocent children are suffering in certain…
