The presence of Atma, the Shape of Balance, had brought something precious and unprecedented to Esperia: a simpler understanding of the importance of balance.
Why was this so important for the Espers who were trying to build a civilization in harmony with their planet?
Because every action has consequences.
There are, of course, the consequences we hope for and intentionally seek when we take action.
But there are also unwanted, unknown, or invisible effects at first glance, for ourselves, for others, or for the environment.
For the Espers, using magic seemed like a perfectly harmless action. It had brought them benefits that had once been unimaginable.
Blinded by the seemingly endless potential of magic, their civilization had never considered its other effects…
Indeed, using magic also consumed a small part of the Aether, the life source of the planet.
This precious Aether had taken millions of years to form and had made life possible on Esperia: the plants, the trees, the forests, the animals, on land as well as in rivers and oceans.
The Espers, too.
The world after the War of Chaos had revealed one truth: until then, the consequences of the Espers’ actions had remained limited for their planet. But the use of magic had disrupted the planet’s fragile and delicate balance, devastating it and leaving its mark forever.
Plants, trees, forests, and animals, on land as well as in rivers and oceans, had perished.
The Espers, too.
The time had finally come for everyone to think about the consequences of their actions.

For the world and the people
Esperia was rebuilt by the Espers in a way that gave every individual a responsibility, and the Seven Shapes were no exception. Even though they had decided the rules with One Daily Tale in the hope of making Esperia peaceful, they also had to comply with them. When they wrote it, they all believed it…

Unwavering perseverance
If the Fire Espers were known for only one thing, it had to be their perseverance. Faya, the Shape of Willpower and Great Element of Fire, had a reputation for an unwavering perseverance unmatched by any other. Though she was the true representation of willpower incarnated, she always reminded everyone that this strength was only…

Happy New Year! Have a Good Health!
Guruko and Simba, her cute platypus companion, enjoyed watching humankind’s civilization on Earth. Today was a special day for them, as they celebrated their planet having completed a full rotation around its star, called the Sun. They didn’t really understand why humans were happy about that, but they guessed it was also an occasion for…

Bended truth
Not long ago, we talked about the importance of deepening one’s knowledge of the information that flows through modern society. Because by being aware that what is displayed as truth is not always the case, and is often bent by those in power, it becomes possible to detach ourselves from the ways they try to…

Fair and just
Every Esper of Esperia acknowledged one thing about Gurumin, the Shape of Empathy: there was something special about her. It was somewhat difficult to explain, but her behavior always smelled of pureness, and this led her to become the living image of fairness and justice as well. Why? Because being able to feel compassion for…

Observe things deeply
Guruko and Simba, her platypus companion, were discussing how the flow of information had evolved on Earth. It had been a while since they had taken an interest in this blue planet, and the development of its inhabitants, who called themselves human beings, was fascinating to them. Just a few decades ago, information was very…

Beware of luxury
To strive for peace among all the Espers, Esperia was rebuilt in such a way that every Esper had to take responsibility and take action, based on their own unique abilities. Thus, basic fundamental needs such as food and shelter were made a priority and delivered to everyone, while the Shape of Balance, Atma, remained…

Once-in-a-lifetime
“Every moment is a once-in-a-lifetime event,” Shala, the Shape of Time, would often remind the young Espers. From an objective point of view, as the Espers were living beings, the time they were able to spend was limited; thus, every single event is one that will never happen again. Even if circumstances may seem similar—for…
