A common crisis

Guruko and Simba, her platypus companion, continued to observe and learn from human society on Earth.

It reminded them greatly of how Esperia was before the end of the Chaos War. Indeed, before the events that led to the discovery of the StarDust—which became the key to revealing the inner Shadow within each Esper—there was no common goal among the different elemental Espers.

Most Espers of each Element believed they were the most righteous and could not hear one another. Even though a few Espers tried to convince others that peace could be achieved for all of Esperia, their voices were soon submerged by the desire for greater wealth through violence.

Some of those voices would eventually become the great figures we now know as the Great Five Elements.

Guruko thought, “If it were not for the Chaos War, Esperia would still be in an unbalanced state, where synchronicity among living beings does not exist.”

Simba nodded. “But one day will come when they may learn about One Daily Tale.”

A World That Has Become Ultra-Complex

The civilization of the Espers had been built over thousands of years, and for a newborn discovering the world, this meant trying to make connections between billions of objects and increasingly complex and abstract systems, in which billions of individuals were put to work, while no one could fully understand how they functioned anymore. Accepting Our Mistakes

And for that, first and foremost, it was important to accept one’s…

    No Nature, No Food

Gathering the seven artifacts was a quest that was also, perhaps above all, an adventure that allowed them to learn to better understand themselves. A Sincere Willingness to Share

The Chaos War had clearly shown that the cycle of wars would never end as long as people’s mindsets did not evolve. And the discovery of magic, which had made the civilization of the Espers more prosperous, had in no way changed the way they saw things. On the contrary, society was becoming increasingly individualistic…
