A Saving Smile

The Espers of the element of Wind had naturally understood that a smile held something unique. Even in complicated situations, a simple smile could soften the atmosphere and restore the possibility of dialogue.

However, this smile must be sincere, and not just a trick meant to take advantage of the kindness of others.

It is true that when emotions take over our usual calm, it is sometimes difficult to offer a smile, especially when we believe we are right.

Gurumin, the Shape of Empathy, had a small piece of advice on this matter.

“Take the example of a newborn’s smile. It changes the atmosphere of a room in the blink of an eye, and often even strangers are soothed by the freshness of that smile.”

“A sincere smile has the same power during difficult discussions. And taking the first step is something you can control.”

“Your element of Wind is also built day after day, little by little. Developing your ability to smile is a way to make it both stronger and gentler.”

“And remember that a smile is simple and free, and it has the power to spread, helping other individuals develop their own element of Wind.”
