A State of Semi-Awakening

In a small village in the Land of Lightning lived a young Esper named Roboka.

In a completely natural way, she imitated and repeated every action and gesture, not only of the other villagers, but also of the animals of the forest!

Watching her try her very best to reproduce the sounds of fantastical creatures, with such innocent sincerity, was one of the most endearing sights.

One day, she met Simba, a little monkey who was just beginning to develop his consciousness.

He was not sure whether he was awake or asleep, for this awareness made him see his own life as if it were a dream.

He looked at the plants with wild curiosity, marveled at the sound of the wind passing through the leaves of the trees, like a soothing melody.

Suddenly, he noticed Roboka, who was imitating him.

At first, he did not understand what she was doing. He thought he was not the only one to be captivated by nature, and overcome by a deep sense of humility before the mysteries of the world and the universe.

“This is what consciousness is…” he thought.

He approached Roboka, who did the same.

“Hello,” he said.

“Hello,” she replied.

These were the very first simple words of a deeply bonded friendship.
