Acting in Concert

For Esperia, this was the discovery of the StarDust, revealed to all at the end of the Chaos War, which had been the trigger for the Espers to finally act in concert.

Indeed, for years, despite technological progress and even learning to use magic, which had made many tedious tasks child’s play, the inertia of history and the fragmentation inherent in the five element, which constituted the main domains of the planet, had rendered most conversations between elements sterile.

Even if certain truths revealing the unity of the Esper people had finally been understood, it remained abstract, almost unreal for many.

The Espers, now endowed with the power to master Aether, the life source of their planet, through the use of magic, had gradually distanced themselves from their environment.

Wanting always more, always faster.

Magic had allowed them to develop their society exponentially in only a few years.

But even though they understood that the use of magic also had disastrous consequences on their planet’s ecosystem, this relentless thirst for always wanting more had taken precedence over their mental health.

And if the Chaos War temporarily awakened minds, it did not instantly restore mental health.

It was then necessary for the Espers to keep in mind this awakening, which was an unexpected chance for them, in order to finally act in concert, for a brighter future.
