Beauty in sunny and rainy days

“Why can’t every day be sunny? I don’t like it when it rains…” asked a young Esper.

“Your point of view is very understandable,” replied Atma, the Shape of Balance.

“But think about this: if it were sunny all the time, the nature of Esperia would be completely different, as it needs rain to grow.”

“Oh, I didn’t think about that,” he acknowledged.

Some people misunderstand balance as a flat, unmovable line. But in truth, it looks much more like the waves of the ocean, going back and forth with a gentle rhythm.”

“This kind of cycle can be seen in many daily things, and the weather you just noticed is one of them.”

“So, do we always need to accept things as they are?” asked the now-intrigued young Esper.

“Until now, the Espers have used their magic as they pleased, without thinking of the consequences for the natural landscape of Esperia.”

“While it made their lives easier, it had consequences for the flow of Aether, which is the source of not only their magic, but all life on Esperia.”

“It is possible to keep harmony when we also understand the beauty in both sunny and rainy days.”
