Even though the end of the Chaos War had brought a brief moment of communion for all, with the StarDust appearing before everyone’s eyes, the inertia of the system had made that moment as brief as a firework.

It was in this context that the Seven Shapes tried every day to rebalance the system, so that moments of unity would not be fleeting, but would instead become the norm.

An individual’s choices, already numerous over the course of a day, often influence those of others, and globalization now meant that, in the end, one person’s actions could, in a completely indirect way, influence the choices of other people on the other side of the planet.

Choosing is difficult.

And very often, the Espers could not see the consequences of their choices, caught up in their own daily lives.

That was why it was now important for the elemental realms to agree on the values and principles that would finally bring all the Espers of the world into alignment…

    Interdependence in a Limited World

The Seven Shapes had clearly understood that, in order to rebuild Esperia, everyone’s efforts would be necessary, whatever their element. The excessive development of the Espers’ civilization through the use of magic had also made it possible to understand its consequences for the entire planet. Just as the Espers learn from their mistakes, perhaps irony had it that they would understand, decades later, the true gravity of their past actions. Magic had given them the…

    The Seven Artifacts

On Esperia, the quest to recover the Seven Artifacts was now considered the essential foundation for entering adult life.
