Discussing Serious Subjects

The discovery of the StarDust throughout the world had made one thing possible for the first time: discussing serious subjects had finally become possible.

The civilization of the Espers, until then bound by taboos, such as attitudes toward death, old age, and illness, had become aware of the need to confront social problems, without which cycles of hatred and violence would never cease.

Esperia had finite resources, and promises of growth were now understood as nothing more than beautiful words meant only to convince those who still refused to face reality.

There were many complex subjects to address.

Even the revelation of the StarDust could not solve all these problems instantly and without upheaval in society…

But if one thing was certain, it was that in order to solve them, they first had to be present in everyone’s thoughts and daily lives.
