Everything in Its Own Time

The aftermath of the Chaos War on Esperia no longer resembled what it once had been.

The use of magic was now subject to restrictions, which had profoundly changed the course of things: there was far less urgency, and far more contemplation of the present moment.

Something that had long been forgotten during the period that had led to the war…

Shala, the Shape of Time, had become the symbol that reminded all the Espers that, since time in a single day is limited, every choice is precious and every moment can be used wisely.

“Everything in its own time” was a phrase that could be heard on street corners whenever some Espers were still carried away by the relentless pace that had existed before the Chaos War.

Yet this philosophy of life had already existed before.

But the relentless pursuit of ever greater profit, power, glory, and ego in the pre-war civilization had made the very idea of taking one’s time almost impossible.

For the use of magic had made the world complex. Perhaps too complex for a civilization that had not been given enough time to understand that complexity.

“Every cloud has a silver lining,” thought some Espers, who saw in the renewal of post-war Esperia a glimmer of hope they had been waiting for over a long time.

That glimmer of hope was called the StarDust, which shines within every one of them.

And the story of that hope is told every day in One Daily Tale.

    Bringing the Five Elements Together
