Humility and Awe

Lune Lune was a little cat of the Water element. His adorable appearance contrasted with his personality, for he was very full of himself.

Having gradually lost his curiosity, he had also lost that gentle feeling of being amazed by everything nature has to offer.

But an encounter changed his mindset forever and helped him rediscover the humility that had been buried deep within him.

That day, he followed a young Esper boy named Guruo, who was running to attend a lesson taught by his favorite teacher, Vati, the Shape of Wisdom.

Guruo was the perfect example of an ideal student, and although this could somewhat put off some of his classmates, no one could deny the effort he put in every day to become a better version of himself.

Today’s lesson was about the Universe, in all its grandeur, its immensity, and everything that remained to be discovered and learned.

Lune Lune had never realized that the spectacle unfolding before him every evening, made of sparkling stars, was truly the manifestation of other possible worlds like Esperia.

He was overcome with such intense wonder that he felt a deep desire to learn more.

Little by little, his curiosity—not only for the stars, but also for all the treasures nature offers—became what it had once been when he was young.

    Perceiving One’s Shadow

The discovery of the StarDust had revealed the existence of a Shadow within every Esper. Long ago, some philosophers already spoke of the importance of knowing oneself, and Eklea, the Shape of Awareness, believed that what they were truly referring to was this Shadow. “This Shadow is a part of us. It is neither good…

    Irresistible Innocence

“The circle of life,” Gurumin said with a smile, knowing those words would awaken childhood memories in some hearts. “A new generation arrives, and the older one passes on its experience, its knowledge, and its skills.” “Then it becomes their turn to teach, and the cycle continues.” Yet this obvious truth had gradually faded away,…

    The Corridors of Time

If Shala, the Shape of Time, had now become one of the Seven Shapes, who had gathered to build a civilization living in harmony with nature and in peace on Esperia, very little was known about her past or her origins. Her mysterious identity made her unique, almost divine, and recalled the ancient beliefs of…

Cha Cha, our little platypus companion, gazed once again into the magic mirror at this unknown civilization, which nevertheless had many things in common with that of the Espers. I Can, Therefore I Think

Faya, the Shape of Willpower, was well known for never mincing her words and often saying aloud what everyone else was only thinking. Like the other Shapes, she had begun applying the principles of One Daily Tale to develop her own StarDust. She therefore had to develop her Water element, connected to Wisdom, and, to…

    Adapting to an Ageing Population

The use of magic had greatly improved access to healthcare and had, as a result, significantly extended the life expectancy of the Espers in a remarkably short time. The downside was that the Espers did not seem to have considered the consequences such an achievement would bring. The massive increase in population was indeed creating…
