Humility

We are all born with different cards in our hands and raised under various conditions.

For most of us, we have received a tremendous number of gifts!

These may come in the form of being born in a peaceful, wealthy country, or being raised by parents who did their best despite their flaws.

It can also mean having a natural ease with science, language, or physical abilities.

Humility also means taking responsibility—for those who didn’t receive as many gifts as we did.

While it may be difficult to reason with adults whose actions spread hatred or nonsense, what about the millions of innocent children who did nothing wrong?
They were just born…

This, too, is a habit to create.

The habit of believing that by staying humble, we can achieve more—for those who didn’t have the same chances we had.

The habit of remembering that we are one in billions—but that billions are made by adding up each and every one of us.
