Observing how the civilization of the Espers behaved before the Chaos War, one might believe that they were all afflicted by a destructive madness, or were desperately trying to get the better of others at their expense.
In reality, most Espers were simply doing their best every day just to live.
And among them, some had sometimes preserved their innocence, in an almost childlike way, despite the influence of the society in which they lived.
What if this innocence were queen?
A value to be shared and upheld, for a society more in tune with the physical realities of the world?
Because seeing the innocence of children, of course, but also that of many other “grown-up children,” makes us reflect on the true essence of the world in which we live.
And what if trying to protect this innocence, natural in children but becoming increasingly rare afterwards, was not the very meaning of taking responsibility?
If innocence were queen, everyone could be a king.
