Know Your Enemy

This was the title of a class given by Faya, the Shape of Willpower, and Element of Fire.
The Espers were a little surprised, since the principles of Esperia were rooted in global harmony. Who, then, could be called an enemy?

“Now that we know about the StarDust, we also know about our own Shadow, don’t we?”

“So the Shadow is our enemy?” asked a young one earnestly.

“Far from it, actually. But you’ve touched on a very important point. The answer lies within each of us. We all know stories of great warriors from different lands who clashed in battle yet held respect for one another—sometimes even more than for their so-called allies. Had they been born within the same borders, they might have become best friends.”

“I chose this title because it makes us reflect. Who is truly your enemy? To answer that, you must first know yourself.”
