Kenko, the Shape of Health and the Element of Earth, wasn’t the most eloquent of the Shapes. Her lessons were often very practical, and though she didn’t think much about it, she was the type who led by example.
Of course, using one’s own body requires more than words. For exercise, theory alone isn’t enough—you need to actually move and train so your muscles grow stronger and your body becomes fitter.
It is the same with healthy nutrition. Simply knowing what is good for you, but not actually eating it, doesn’t help you at all.
Kenko was also the most meticulous of the Shapes, for she had built habits around all the foundations of a healthy life: sleep, food, exercise, and relaxation.
As much as she could, she created routines—going to sleep at regular hours, eating balanced meals every day, and exercising for both endurance and strength. But she also made time to rest and relax!
A true leader by example.
