Natural Laziness

This course was designed by Faya, the Shape of Willpower, with the help of the other Shapes. The title was chosen to help the Espers become aware of their own behavior, and Eklea, the Shape of Awareness, was there to remind them of that.

Understanding how their system worked as living beings was the first step toward realizing why it was important to overcome their natural laziness—to make their StarDust shine.

Espers are creatures that try to make the least effort. For anything! That’s where building willpower can help—so that the things that need to be done actually get done.

Faya liked to use the image of a fire when teaching the younger Espers.

“We all have a fire burning inside us. But this fire needs care and attention to stay alive. Unfortunately, we often forget about it.”

“Remember your fire, and it will help you overcome your natural laziness.”

    Feeling the Impermanence of Time

If there was one thing the Espers were not made for, it was to feel the impermanence of time. Good Advice Is Difficult to Hear

Rebuilding Esperia on foundations that were fair for everyone, while also keeping harmony with nature in mind, was an extremely complicated task. The Seven Shapes understood this well, and they knew that their advice would be difficult for many Espers to hear, as they were still attached to the ease of their past lives, which…

    Advantages and Disadvantages

The dreadful truth that had revealed itself to all the Espers at the end of the War of Chaos was difficult for many of them to accept: the use of magic now had to be subject to major restrictions, because each use consumed a part of the planet’s life source. Until then, in a thoughtless…
