One Thing at a Time

Esperia was rebuilding itself slowly but surely, upon foundations that now seemed right in everyone’s eyes.

The StarDust and its existence had become widely accepted, and the initiatory journey that each Esper had to undertake to recover their own artifacts had become part of everyday life, far more quickly than the Seven Shapes had ever dreamed.

While magic had allowed the Espers to have more free time, it had not naturally taught them how to use it wisely.

And now that it was understood that the Espers could only do one thing at a time, the importance of choosing how to use one’s time had also become a subject of discussion.

Each person therefore had to decide, in good conscience, how to strike a balance between acting for their own personal well-being, which was essential to themselves, and acting for the good of the community, which was equally essential if they were finally to try to create a civilization that could truly be called “modern.”

The iridescent hourglass, the artifact of time, was therefore taking on its full value: it helped the Espers better grasp this most abstract of notions: time.

For thinking about the future of their civilization was also part of their responsibility, even though they would never live to see it

Simba, our lovely little monkey-like creature, heard something extremely valuable. Not only does the body have limits, but so does the mind! If you exercise too much, it can lead to injuries. The same is true for mental health. The mind is like a reservoir that can fill with all kinds of emotions. Sometimes it…

    Initial Condition

Eklea, the Shape of Awareness, often reminded her students that the Initial Condition of a situation has a significant impact on its outcome. Does that seem obvious? Perhaps—if you’ve thought about it. Does it mean we are bound by where we start? Of course not. But realizing that the starting point is not the same…

    Where ignorance is bliss…

…it is folly to be wise. Cha Cha reflected on this sentence. It was written in the 18th century by an English poet. At that time, all energy sources were renewable, with little risk of real damage to the environment, as everything was powered by natural elements or living beings. Sadly, history also shows that…

    The Chaos War

It took quite a long time before the Shape of Balance, Atma, and the meaning behind the word “Balance” finally became one of the accepted and evident keys to harmony in Esperia. In principle, it’s simple! In a world with limited resources, there is a clear need for restraint among the living beings who share,…
