Perceiving the dilemmas

The challenge the Seven Shapes had set themselves was far from simple. Trying to rebuild a civilization after a war that had decimated the population and a large part of the ecosystem seemed an almost insurmountable task.

But things had changed, and therein lay the hope for a society finally acting in a modern way.

The revelation of the StarDust to everyone, and of the presence of Atma, the Shape of Balance, had also enabled the Espers throughout the world to finally perceive the dilemmas that had already existed in the past, but had been set aside.

The use of magic was not without consequences for the planetary ecosystem, and it was therefore necessary to think about how to regulate its use while trying to preserve the benefits it had brought.

Likewise, certain rational choices at an individual level can be in total contradiction with the public good, and once again, this becomes a dilemma.

“If I act for my own good, it may have consequences for an entire civilization…”

A certain balance therefore seemed necessary to find.

And that was where the development of the StarDust, unique to each person, took on a crucial role in making it work.

Through everyone’s efforts, dialogue can exist.

And now that the dilemmas are perceived by everyone, all that remains is to tackle them.

Throughout their history, the Espers had proved it time and again: they were very skilled at finding solutions when they found themselves backed into a corner.
