The civilization of the Espers had gradually moved away from what was nevertheless necessary to meet their natural physiological needs.
Being able to feed themselves had become an ordinary act, with no apparent connection to nature, its resources, or the ecosystem of which they were nevertheless a part.
Why was it important, in the eyes of the Seven Shapes, to reconnect with strong bonds to what was essential?
Quite simply because this allowed the Espers to better understand why preserving the ecosystem had to be a priority.
For understanding that we need it to survive, by creating strong bonds, also helps lay the foundations of a basic education.
As resources were limited, and the use of magic was gradually destroying the Aether, the planet’s source of life, it then became obvious to anyone who could see these problems that the current course of things could not continue, if one was, of course, thinking of the well-being of future generations.
Paradoxically, taking action becomes easier when there is no longer any choice.
For Esperia, amid the misfortune brought about by the Chaos War, the planetary awakening to these problems was the moment when there was no choice: it was either to act or to let future generations perish.
