Remaining calm

When emergencies occur, it is sometimes tempting to rush into things without proper thought. And to be fair, it can be the right decision and does work sometimes.

But often, remaining calm helps us analyze the situation more clearly and avoid doing things that could be detrimental.

“How are we supposed to know when to rush or when to remain calm?” rightly asked a young Esper.

“This is a really difficult question,” replied Vati, the Shape of Wisdom.

“To be honest, like many things, experience can help you make these kinds of decisions. We all have a natural tendency to learn from the people who surround us.”

“Some of them will tend to rush into things; others will try to analyze the situation first.”

“You cannot apply the same pattern every time, as every situation is different.”

“But if it is possible to take a little time to think about the difficulty ahead, without endangering the situation by not acting, then taking this time may be of great value.”
