Shifting the blame

If there was one thing Faya tried to avoid the most, it was shifting the blame for her own mistakes onto others.

As the Shape of Willpower, and the Great Element of Fire, she always took responsibility for her actions, even when those actions turned out to be mistakes.

“I know it can be easier to avoid taking responsibility by placing it on others, but easier often doesn’t mean better.”

“You will feel guilt and remorse. Of course, like many things, shifting the blame too often can become second nature to those who do it…”

“And this is where it becomes scary, and can snowball into individuals who can no longer take any responsibility at all.”

“Change can happen, but it takes time and dedication. While it is more difficult not to shift the blame for our own mistakes onto others, it is also what makes you grow, and will eventually make your StarDust shine even brighter.”
