Taking Time

The events that preceded the beginning of the War of Chaos nevertheless carried a sense of déjà vu.

Each of the elements was caught in a frantic race to develop new technologies that would allow them, on the one hand, to satisfy their desire to dominate the world and, on the other, to pursue their dreams of immortality.

If only they would take the time…” she thought.

Yet small voices were beginning to rise everywhere, calling for a fairer world that would finally take into account the real challenges that needed to be faced right now.

Challenges that were nevertheless pushed into the background by leaders who were increasingly driven by profit and the acceleration of growth, no matter the cost.

Small voices that understood that the moment was crucial, and that taking the time to ask the right questions, to reflect on them together, and to dedicate themselves to solving them had become vital.

Not for themselves, because the consequences would only be felt in the years to come.

Learning from their mistakes was therefore also a natural way for them to grow. But in a society where the right to make mistakes was becoming less and less accepted, learning from one’s own mistakes was also becoming increasingly difficult. The discovery and use of magic had accelerated the evolution of their civilization, but they also…
