The Awareness of Collective Rationality

Simba, our little monkey companion from the land of lightning, was beginning to see a little more clearly when it came to awareness.

This was mysterious: it now seemed innate to the Espers of the planet, while still needing to be developed.

Although he had sensed that several levels of awareness seemed to exist, he had not yet pointed out a paradox that had nevertheless become obvious to him since he had understood it: individual rationality often becomes irrational on a collective scale.

Acting in one’s own interest is entirely normal and natural on an individual scale.

But when one considers the effects on society as a whole, that same action, though entirely justified, can sometimes become contrary to collective rationality.

Developing an awareness that was not only personal, but also collective, in order to improve things on a global scale was becoming the anchor point for building a truly modern society at last.

But this was not going to be simple in a world where freedoms and measures of success were increasingly tied to individualism and the intensification of a purely personal rationality.

Two dimensions that were almost diametrically opposed, yet both still needed to exist in order to try to preserve cohesion among peoples…

The Chaos War had shown once again that awareness of collective rationality was almost nonexistent.

Would the Seven Shapes manage to change things with One Daily Tale?

Nothing was less certain, and the results would only be seen in the future
