The Collective Shadow

The Espers had something special and powerful when they acted as a group.

Relationships of trust allowed cultures and ideas to be exchanged, and had greatly contributed to the development of their society.

But while the StarDust allowed the Shadow within each Esper to be revealed, this intriguing ability of the Espers to unite in order to produce greater strength and efficiency had also created a collective Shadow.

It could exist on different scales, ranging from the heart of a family, through a community or a region, and even extending to their entire civilization.

Although it was not necessary to know one’s own Shadow to detect the collective Shadow, developing one’s StarDust nevertheless made it easier to perceive it.

In particular, working on the element of Lightning, which was connected to consciousness, made it possible to improve one’s ability to recognize the reality of the world and to see beyond what society offered: to see the collective Shadow of society.
