The Shadow of Empathy

If there is one Shadow that causes a great deal of harm, whether on an individual scale or on a broader scale, it is surely that of Empathy.

It often takes control of behavior when emotions speak for themselves: anger, fear, suspicion.

It is often said that the beings who can hurt us the most are also those who are closest to us.

To perceive one’s Shadow, and in particular that of Empathy, and above all, to undertake the work of taming it…

That was the responsibility of every Esper.

For this Shadow existed within each of them, and taming it could only be done by its own host.

To help them with this task, which seemed enormous to some, even impossible, there were the Seven Shapes, who had become the symbols of the development of the StarDust.

    The Creation of Earth

Shala was able to witness the creation of Earth too, far, far away from the magical land of Esperia. She was curious and full of joy as she watched life begin to take shape—how, over millions of years, nature slowly unfolded into a world where living beings could grow, flourish, and live in harmony. But…

    The StarDust

Cha Cha was also deeply thinking about One Daily Tale, and about the StarDust. The Espers of Esperia had all developed their own StarDust—a bright, shiny, warm veil that reflected rainbow colors. Without an understanding of…

Atma had a special gift: she could sense the rhythm of the Shapes within each being.
