Universal Consciousness

How can we not naturally think that we are at the center of the world when we see the world only through our own eyes?

This was the starting point of a reflection by Eklea, the Shape of Consciousness, concerning a paradox of Esper civilization: on an individual scale, an act may seem entirely rational. But as soon as the perspective is considered from the point of view of civilization as a whole, that same act may seem entirely irrational. The opposite is also true.

The elemental lands had developed without ever truly consulting one another, even though the wars between the different elements had never really ceased.
But even within each individual land, its leaders had never truly tried to think about the good of everyone…

Difficult problems, certainly.

But ones that had never been addressed!

Just as at the individual level, awareness made it possible to see one’s Shadow, the Shadow of civilization now hung over the entire planet as well…

The use of magic had made this possible.

Eklea was therefore reflecting on the notion of universal consciousness.

“It is necessary to develop the StarDust of the entire civilization…”

“And perhaps this begins by developing the StarDust of each individual…”

    Remembering the Fundamentals

Kenko, the Shape of Health, and the Great element of Earth were the perfect representation to remember how important the fundamentals were. Just as the ground lays the foundations for a solid structure, the element of earth was certainly, by nature, the element closest to these fundamentals. The world needed to return to the basics,…
