Whether to Act or Not

The undertaking begun by the Seven Shapes since the end of the Chaos War, to reshape society in a fairer way for everyone and in harmony with the planet’s ecosystem, was obviously a daunting one.

Numerous debates and discussions on a wide variety of subjects had emerged, sometimes themselves branching off into other discussions, either more general or more detailed.

One of the subjects under discussion concerned the decision of whether or not to act.

Of course, as was now always the case, balance was essential in the debates, and the goal was not to reject the others’ arguments at all costs, but to try to find common ground together on subjects that were nevertheless complex.

    Shadow and Light

“Without light, no shadow can appear; there is only darkness.” Cha Cha, our platypus friend, had attended a public event where silence was expected. Yet among the audience, two spectators paid little attention to this rule and kept talking, disturbing the people around them. This experience led him to reflect on the Shadow that belongs…

    Perceiving One’s Shadow

The discovery of the StarDust had revealed the existence of a Shadow within every Esper. The Corridors of Time

If Shala, the Shape of Time, had now become one of the Seven Shapes, who had gathered to build a civilization living in harmony with nature and in peace on Esperia, very little was known about her past or her origins. Her mysterious identity made her unique, almost divine, and recalled the ancient beliefs of…
