A Sick Society

The world before the Chaos War displayed many symptoms of a sick society, rotten to the core with heightened individual desires.

A world where appearances and showing off were the values held up for admiration.

Only visible results seemed to matter, regardless of effort or even truth.

Many individuals cheated and lied in order to present themselves in a way that would make them look good in the eyes of as many people as possible.

And this reached even the highest levels of a hierarchy that was already questionable.

A realization that sends shivers down the spine, especially for the youngest, who are often still quite naive about the world in which they must live, and in which they must participate despite themselves.

Playing the game proposed by society meant going against values that nevertheless seemed right when one stopped to think about them, even for a moment.

Being grateful for the natural resources provided by the planet, living modestly, and appreciating simple things. So many behaviors that were becoming increasingly out of step with a society devouring everything in its path.

But it was also in this context that the first seeds of hope for a more harmonious future world were planted…

The first outlines of One Daily Tale had come to life.
