Aether Balance

Now that it was known and understood that using magic consumed Aether—the source of life for all living creatures on Esperia—it had become natural for the Espers to take care in how they used magic.

How? Because their StarDust also produced Aether, they could determine how much magic each of them could use while still keeping balance.

The brighter the StarDust, the more Aether it produced, and the more magic could be wielded!

But time spent using magic was not time spent strengthening one’s StarDust, so once again, the right equilibrium had to be found.

Atma was there to remind all the Espers of their responsibility to nurture their own StarDust. Developing Wisdom, Empathy, Awareness, Health, and Willpower naturally opened the way to a broader vision of what truly mattered.

Harmony could prevail, for with StarDust bringing light to Esperia, every Esper could face and embrace their own Shadow.
