Choices and Priorities

The end of the Chaos War had nevertheless, despite the ecological and civilizational devastation it had caused, brought with it perhaps, at last, the solutions needed to build a society living in harmony with nature and at peace.

Vati, the Shape of Wisdom, then spoke.

“When the Eclipse cast a veil over the StarDust that lives within each of us, our Shadow took control and led to the Chaos War…”

“Until now, we did not know this StarDust, which, when cultivated, allows us to perceive our Shadow… Nor did we know Atma, the Shape of Balance.”

“We had not yet understood how harmful the use of magic was to the planet, because every time magic is used, a little of Aether, the source of life, is consumed.”

“This will be an extraordinary challenge for the Espers, and that is why choices and priorities must finally be established, taking all of these elements into account.”

In a world of limited resources, where time is precious for every Esper, it becomes essential to rethink the very foundations of learning and education.

“Thanks to the StarDust, we now know that by nurturing it, we can become better versions of ourselves, become more capable of discussing important matters with wisdom, and show empathy toward ourselves and others, while understanding the limits of the world in which we live.”

“The wisdom that I now strive to represent as humbly as possible—is it not to make the right choices and to give priority to the knowledge that allows the StarDust to grow within each of us?”

    By the Union of All

The task of rebuilding Esperia was daunting. If the consequences still seemed imperceptible, almost nonexistent, the damage had indeed been done. Aether, the life source of the planet, had been greatly reduced, and the natural process of its regeneration was slow—far slower than its consumption through the use of Esper magic. From now on, one…
