Global Vision of the World

For centuries, the Espers of the different elemental regions had developed without understanding that they were part of a whole.

It was only recently, thanks to the use of magic and the new technologies that had emerged from it, that the Espers had truly begun to grasp the idea of a single, unified civilization.

Just as, on an individual level, we sometimes believe ourselves to be the center of the world, seeing the world only through our own eyes, on the scale of a region, one’s own region can also seem to be the center of the world, with the surrounding lands appearing to be home to barbaric peoples or potential dangers.

“When will we finally act for the good of our civilization as a whole, rather than, as we have until now, as peoples who call others barbarians even though they are the same species, known as Espers?” Eklea, the Shape of Awareness, emphasized during a conference on the crucial importance of acting together.

The Chaos War had ravaged the planet and its ecosystem.

Resources were becoming increasingly scarce, and it was therefore finally necessary to seriously consider organizing their civilization, not only to prevent such tragedies from happening again, but also, and above all, to finally become a truly modern civilization: a civilization in which a global vision was understood by all.
