In All Simplicity

It is very easy and natural to believe that we are the center of the Earth.

And in a society increasingly concerned with individual freedoms, this way of thinking can only spread.

Yet it is just as easy to take even a few minutes to reflect on the situation as a whole.

By zooming out, we can easily see the people close to us, the place where we live, the country that welcomes us, the gigantic mass of liquid water that makes up the oceans, the planet floating in the vastness of space, and then perceive the stars, near and ever more distant…

But returning to everyday life quickly makes us forget all of this, and the weight of a society that pushes us toward consumption does not help us live simply.

In all simplicity.

It could be the slogan of Esperia’s renewal, this planet where the beings who had mastered the use of magic were not unlike those of our world.

In all simplicity.

It was the choice of life behind a philosophy shared by everyone since the end of a war that had radically changed the planetary ecosystem.

They too had made choices throughout the existence of their civilization.

But it was also the first time that choosing simplicity had become the norm on a global scale.

    Taking Mental Health Seriously

If there is one thing that is difficult for the Espers to do, it is to properly take into consideration everything that is not visible to their eyes: the future rather than the present moment, the system as a whole rather than their personal situation, the general Shadow of their entire civilization… And mental health…

A World That Has Become Ultra-Complex

And…

    Magic and Aether

The excessive development of the Espers’ civilization through the use of magic had also made it possible to understand its consequences for the entire planet. Just as the Espers learn from their mistakes, perhaps irony had it that they would understand, decades later, the true gravity of their past actions. Magic had given them the…

    One Thing at a Time

Esperia was rebuilding itself slowly but surely, upon foundations that now seemed right in everyone’s eyes. The StarDust and its existence had become widely accepted, and the initiatory journey that each Esper had to undertake to recover their own artifacts had become part of everyday life, far more quickly than the Seven Shapes had ever…

    The Seven Artifacts

On Esperia, the quest to recover the Seven Artifacts was now considered the essential foundation for entering adult life. Indeed, this adventure made it possible to learn about the world by crossing the lands of the five elements, and to better understand the sometimes abstract notions of time and balance. But above all, it also…

    Accepting Our Mistakes

No one, whoever they were, could change the face of the world alone. The Seven Shapes understood this well, and although they had now become the symbol of Esperia’s renewal, they also knew that the efforts would have to be made by everyone. And for that, first and foremost, it was important to accept one’s…
