Indulgence and Strictness Toward Oneself

Cha Cha, our dear little platypus who thought of himself as a philosopher, reflected on the difficulty of finding a balance between indulgence and strictness toward oneself.

Too indulgent, and one lets oneself go, giving free rein to excuses and easily placing the blame on others, on the current situation, or even on the world around us.

Too strict, and then one forgets to think about the present moment, to appreciate what one has already accomplished, which can sometimes lead to deep sadness or an intensified bitterness toward society.

The important question was therefore to try to know which area one was in at each moment.

He therefore thought that the closer a daily routine was to a sufficiently demanding personal ideal, the more indulgence was possible during the rest of the time.

This personal ideal was therefore the point of balance to seek and refine.

The StarDust, which allowed the Shadow existing within each Esper to be revealed, was the key to identifying this point of balance and establishing a personal routine to develop it.

Esperia also now had, through the figure of Atma, the Shape of Balance, a symbol that allowed them to remember every day the importance of finding their own point of balance.

A strict routine allowed more indulgence during the remaining time to live.

    Moderation

    Collective Consciousness

Eklea was reflecting on how Esperia had radically changed since the end of the Chaos War and the discovery of StarDust. “This created a collective consciousness,” she whispered.
