Learning from Mistakes

The Espers were far from perfect.

Learning from their mistakes was therefore also a natural way for them to grow.
But in a society where the right to make mistakes was becoming less and less accepted, learning from one’s own mistakes was also becoming increasingly difficult.

The image of success had changed.

At the height of a civilization on the brink of the global crisis that would become the Chaos War, the Emperors of the elemental lands had become symbols of so-called success, and models to aspire to: an exacerbated cult of personality, made so easily possible by a society that was increasingly turning a blind eye to the reality of the world in which it lived.

Despite the warnings of a few individuals who, at their own risk and peril, tried to make the entire world see the dangers and possible consequences of the blind behavior of their own society, the immensely powerful and irreversible tide of a mass movement within a society disconnected from physical realities seemed unstoppable.

Perhaps even inevitable.

While learning from one’s mistakes should have been the norm for the healthy development of minds, the headlong rush toward a world where, under the banner of ever more exacerbated and limitless freedoms and individualities, had become the prevailing creed.

    Full of Dreams

The Espers of the Wind were known to be kind dreamers. They naturally bend toward compassion and are always full of dreams. Gurumin, the Shape of Empathy, believed that having dreams shouldn’t…
