Long-Term Vision

The end of the Chaos War was the perfect opportunity to finally rebuild Esperia on solid foundations that had until now been ignored.

Vati, the Form of Wisdom, was worried about how things would unfold, for it required envisioning the world in the long term.

“Many Espers will resist making the necessary changes…” she thought.

“Now that we know that magic consumes the Aether of the planet, its use must be limited.”

Some incredulous Espers replied, “But we have the StarDust, don’t we? We also know it produces Aether, so there’s no need to restrain ourselves!”

“The StarDust is a source of Aether, certainly, but the amount produced is negligible compared to the consumption of the most powerful magics.”

“So we must focus on two fronts simultaneously: developing the StarDust for everyone while limiting unnecessary uses of magic.”

“The very recent understanding of how Aether works leads to this conclusion. For future generations and a long-term vision, this is, for now, the only solution we can consider…”
