As a civilization that considers itself advanced, it would seem obvious that the connection between nature, its benefits, and the fundamental need to sustain ourselves through the food it provides should be something everyone understands.
The society of the Espers before the Chaos War, which had basked in luxury and consumption made possible through the use of magic, had nevertheless quickly turned away from this reality, even though it lay at the heart of their daily lives.
Landscapes had given way to cities stretching as far as the eye could see, their inhabitants unaware of where the food on their plates came from.
Yet the forecasts, despite being quite clear, were dismissed as hoaxes, and those who tried to awaken a population indifferent to the real problems were regarded as eccentrics.
The Chaos War then seemed like an inevitable event, as food supplies became increasingly scarce for a society that was always seeking to grow without concern for its impact on the planet that nevertheless nourished it.
To rebuild Esperia after the war, it was therefore essential to restore this connection with nature and to bring its importance back to the forefront.
For without nature and its ecosystem, there is no food.
