Observe things deeply

Guruko and Simba, her platypus companion, were discussing how the flow of information had evolved on Earth.

It had been a while since they had taken an interest in this blue planet, and the development of its inhabitants, who called themselves human beings, was fascinating to them.

Just a few decades ago, information was very local and needed to be verified and checked several times before being published. At the time Guruko and Simba were observing Earth, information was now being instantly published worldwide, without proof or verification of any kind. Whoever wanted to reach billions of other human beings could do so, without real restriction and without having to justify or check their sources.

“Don’t you think it’s frightening?” asked Guruko, a little shocked by this discovery.
“How are they able to distinguish between truth and fiction?” she continued.

“Luckily, on Esperia, Vati, the Shape of Wisdom, has created a lesson that guides all the Espers in learning how to think and observe things deeply,” said Simba, trying to reassure her a little.

“You’re right. Taking the time to filter the things we are exposed to is indeed truly important,” she concluded.
