Perception of Reality

Roboka, our little electric robot, was as representative as could be of the general state of mind of the Espers on the planet.

Completely absorbed by entertainment and the new forms of media created through the use of magic across Esperia, Roboka no longer had any way of perceiving reality.

Even his encounter with Simba, who had become his friend, did not instantly change the way he thought.

And yes, decades spent without truly using one’s senses to perceive reality do not disappear in the blink of an eye.

Simba understood that well. And that was why he worked every day to try to reveal to the world a reality hidden from everyone’s eyes.

For the stakes were enormous.

The entire planet was now undergoing a change that would not become noticeable until decades later.

The climate was one of those issues. For the repeated and increasingly intense use of magic had altered the balance of the planet’s Aether, its source of life.

The creation of a new entity with even greater abilities to wash minds was another…

Simba sometimes felt discouraged by the scale of the catastrophe that everyone ignored.

“But we must not give up. Roboka, and many others, are not to blame. All newborns, whatever their element, can rely only on those who have managed to perceive reality…”

Their future depends on us…

    Leader by Example

Kenko, the Shape of Health and the Element of Earth, wasn’t the most eloquent of the Shapes. Her lessons were often very practical, and though she didn’t think much about it, she was the type who led by example. Of course, using one’s own body requires more than words. For exercise, theory alone isn’t enough—you…
