Scars of Time

At the end of the day, what do we remember?
For the so-called “favored” on this earth, it is the hours spent at school or work, the moments spent trying to avoid boredom at all costs once we return home.

At the end of the year, what do we remember?
We set “new goals” for the next year, though we seldom fulfill them. And if we truly would, why wait for the next year to begin in the first place?

At the end of one’s life, what will we remember?
The time spent with our loved ones, or rather the time we wish we had spent more with them.

At the end of humanity, what will be remembered?
The scars of time—through wars, and through our inaction in the face of climate change.
The scars of time were nothing but choices made.
How many more will be needed before we act?

    A Sincere Willingness to Share

The Chaos War had clearly shown that the cycle of wars would never end as long as people’s mindsets did not evolve. And the discovery of magic, which had made the civilization of the Espers more prosperous, had in no way changed the way they saw things. On the contrary, society was becoming increasingly individualistic…

    Learning to Pass On

If the use of magic had brought many benefits to the daily lives of the Espers, the world before the Chaos War had changed enormously, for better and for worse. No one could have imagined how much society would change thanks to the new technologies made possible by magic. The population had exploded, as had…

    The Heptaract of Balance

The birth of Atma, the Shape of Balance, at the end of the Chaos War, had also brought to light the existence of the magical artifact of balance. The Heptaract of Balance.
