Suddenly, I See

Gathering the seven artifacts was a quest that was also, perhaps above all, an adventure that allowed them to learn to better understand themselves.

Who has never been surprised to hear their own voice, or to see themselves move and speak?

“Suddenly, I see!”

These little moments, like the artifact of consciousness, the spark of lightning, that sometimes make us become aware of the presence of the Shadow within us.

But the Espers needed much more time and had to grow accustomed to observing and conversing with this Shadow, which was both familiar and strange.

    Perceiving the dilemmas

The challenge the Seven Shapes had set themselves was far from simple. Trying to rebuild a civilization after a war that had decimated the population and a large part of the ecosystem seemed an almost insurmountable task. But things had changed, and therein lay the hope for a society finally acting in a modern way.…

The discovery and use of magic had accelerated the evolution of their civilization, but they also…

A World That Has Become Ultra-Complex

The civilization of the Espers had been built over thousands of years, and for a newborn discovering the world, this meant trying to make connections between billions of objects and increasingly complex and abstract systems, in which billions of individuals were put to work, while no one could fully understand how they functioned anymore. And…
