That Is None of Our Concern

Since the rise of magic on Esperia, the means of communication had greatly changed.

Until then, it had been difficult to obtain information from the other side of the planet in a short time; now, it had become extremely easy to receive news within seconds.

Nevertheless, in both cases, the truthfulness of statements and information had never been easy to verify.

The means of communication had developed to spread more and more information, ever more quickly, and to an ever larger audience.

But they had never been designed to spread more and more facts—truthful, approved, or confirmed.

While each day, “useful” time is limited, and we cannot do everything at once,
we must make choices.

These choices also apply to the information we decide to read, watch, or listen to.

And now, the choice is immense…

Yet highly directed, for if there is one thing the creators of these new means of communication have understood, it is what sells, what works, and what keeps the Espers glued to their platforms.

Esperia would not be in such a critical situation if these biases were directed toward truth, education, or the unity of an already fragile world.

It is themes of fear, violence, and mistrust that spread in abundance and draw in the crowds.

But that is none of our concern
